Agriculture I
Agriculture I is a program of
study designed to be taken by ninth graders which could fulfill an elective
credit. In this course, students would study general agriculture, animal
production, crop production, agriculture leadership development, mechanical
maintenance, as well as lawn and garden care. This course will give the
student a general overview of agriculture and agriculture careers which he or
she may wish to pursue.
Agriculture Science IA
This class is designed for the
college bound student that might be pursuing a degree in an agriculture field in
college.
Agriculture Science II
Agriculture Science II is
designed to be taken by tenth graders. This course follows Agriculture
Science I and is directed toward environmental and conservation
agriculture. In this course, students will study soils, natural resources,
environmental protection of water, air, and chemicals in relation to
agriculture. In Agriculture II, agricultural leadership, parliamentary
procedure and FFA club work would also be taught.
Agriculture Science III and IV
Agriculture, economics, marketing
and finance, agriculture wildlife management and forestry, greenhouse
management, and horticulture are all courses of study which would be taught to
students wishing to continue the study of agriculture throughout high
school. These courses may be taken as electives their junior and senior
year.
